What a reflief!
Mama has been so busy going to Ultrasound after Ultrasound for you, I haven't had a chance to update this page. Looks like you ARE a girl! I have had about 5 ultrasounds since and all confirmed... GIRL GIRL GIRL!
That is such good news! Mama already picked everything girlie out and Nana and Papa bought you all kinds of stuff for your nursery! We were having a hard time getting you to cooperate for the 3-D pictures. Mama kept having to come back. Last night was our last try and we got a couple decent shots. You are so cute! You have big ole chubby cheeks already! Here is the pic:
Such a beauty!!! You didn't want to show us your face for long though. You pulled your Rockett routine and did a high kick waaaay above your head, blocking your face. LOL. You would not put your leg down for nothing. But, we have a video and I am still trying to go through it to see if we can get some more pictures.
You have been moving a lot more. That is another thing, whenever you have an ultrasound down and they move the camera over Mama's belly, you punch right on back. You are either playing with it or do not like it at all. Here is a picture with your dukes up...
We are just entering the 3rd and final trimester. Only 12 more weeks until I get to hold you! Mama is very excited and nervous. I just want to be the best Mama you could ever hope for.
Love you baby girl!

Well Well Well....to our baby BOY?
You little stinker!! Guess what happened? Mama went to the Doctor on Monday and they told us you are a BOY! Oh my goodness! Imagine our shock and surprise! We still don't know for sure, hopefully on Friday we will find out with your 3-D ultrasound. Baby, all I ask is that you cooperate this time and show us the goods!
Mama will be so happy either way! I am to the point now where I want you to be a boy. I got to thinking of all the joys a little boy could bring and now am so excited to find out for sure. Either way, I will be happy, it was just a shock. As you can see, we bought dresses and stuff for your PINK nursery. That will go in storage for you sister if you end up being a boy. No biggie at all. We just have to decide on a name now for you.
Fun and exciting times!! Mama will continue with the back/tummy rubs if you promise to not be shy on Friday...Mmm k?

Somersaults & Names
Hello baby girl! First off, we have decided on the name!
Ta da!!
We wanted to incorporated Lyn in the first name after you Auntie Angie (her middle name is Lyn) and your Grandma Cary whose first name is Linda. Gail is after your Nana Jones. That is her first name. Well, her middle name but I will tell you THAT funny story when you are old enough to understand. :-)
Now, for the somersaults. I can now feel you baby girl! You are going crazy in my tummy. At this second, you are kicking or fluttering around my belly button. It literally feels like you are doing somersaults in there. I started feeling movement last week, but this week, you have been VERY active. It is such a neat feeling. I love knowing you are in there having fun in your little bubble.
Mama has a Doctors appointment on Monday and we are looking into the 3-D imagining so hopefully we can see more of you pretty face.
Keep on moving, Mama loves it and you!
Love,
Mama

Almost 22 weeks - Pictures of the belly
Mama can now see a difference. Here I am at 21 weeks and 4 days!
I think I felt you move twice last night and maybe once today. It felt like a muscle spasm in my tummy. Like my tummy just jumped up on it's own. It was so neat. You did it the 2nd time right as Mama fell asleep and woke me up. Already a little stinker!!

It's a........finger sucker??
Today was the official 20 week diagnostic ultrasound. Baby girl still hadn't moved up!! We were unable to confirm baby girl is indeed a baby GIRL, but Mama is going with the first determination and continuing with operation Pink Princess. :-)
Here is the ultrasound from today:
Baby girl is sucking on her fingers -- just like her Daddy did when he was young. :-)
I love you to death sweetheart, but want to let you know, it IS ok for you to move up and off of Mama's bladder now. Mmmkay?
Love,
Mama

Baby Girl Clothes
Mama couldn't resist! Once I found out you were a girl, I had to go shopping. This is my absolute favorite thing I bought. I cannot wait to see you in it! I have a feeling you will only be able to wear it for a couple weeks, but it will be great for pictures!
So so pretty. Oh baby girl, I am getting so excited to meet you! I just want to know what you look like. I am still waiting to feel you for goodness sakes. You are certainly quiet in there. We have another ultrasound in 2 days. I hope I get a better look at you. I hope you move up!!

IT'S A GIRL!!
Oh my goodness! I cannot believe you are a little girl!! Mama has been calling you a him this whole time. I think I was doing that so I would get used to you being a boy and wouldn't be disappointed when we found out. When we found out on Saturday (10/9/10), Mama cried. I was so shocked but so happy! All I could think about was how beautiful you are going to be and how I can now dress you up! Nana Jones was so happy too. She wanted you to be a girl. The first person we called and told was actually Uncle Sam. Daddy says because he knew he wouldn't be stuck on the phone forever with him. LOL. Then Mama called Nana & Papa Jones and Auntie Angie. I just sent text messages and Facebook status updates to everyone else.
I heard Daddy then call Grandma & Grandpa Cary and then Grandpa and Mimi Jones and Aunt Karen. Everyone is thrilled!!
Here are your pictures. Mama is just 18 weeks. You are still hiding waaaaay below Mama's belly button. I can't wait for you to move up and be closer to my heart. ♥
We haven't picked out your name yet. This week, I really like Jocelyn. I like the way it sounds with Jones. I also like Morgan, Alexa and London still.
~ Love, Mama.

Firsts!!
Well, it has been a busy week for baby! Mama went on vacation to see Nana, Papa, Aunt Angie and your cousins Sydney & Marissa in Spokane, WA. It was your first flight. You had the cushion of Mama's tummy but I think you still felt the turbulence we went through. It was like a roller coaster there for a while.
Then you met your Nana & Papa and cousins. It was Papa's 66th B-day and we had the nummiest BBQ'd hotdogs, Nana's famous Macaroni salad and chocolate cake. Mmm.... The next night you went to your first concert. It was fittingly Blue October. (That is how Mama & Daddy met after all). You were right up front next to the rail. Mama was dancing and cheering, I think you had a good time. All the noise surely kept you up.
So, 1st trip, 1st flight, 1st concert...It was a busy week! Oh, Mama also took you to your first casino but I don't think that is such a good thing. LOL.

Baby update 15 weeks
Mama has just been so busy! You are growing bigger and bigger every day! It is getting to the point where even my baggy pants are having a hard time buttoning. I love it! I think I might have felt you move last week, but I am not sure. I was just pushing on my belly trying to feel you when I got the flutter. I think I made you mad. :-)
We scheduled an ultrasound early to find out what you are and we are so excited! Daddy just got a new job and we wanted to make sure he could be there to find out, so we scheduled another one. It is on Oct. 9th. Mama still has a feeling you are her little boy, but we'll see.
We have been getting stuff for you. So far we have:
Can't wait to meet you!

200 more days!
Wow, that seems like forever to go. Only 200 more days until I get to see your sweet face. Well give or take a few. I am about 11 1/2 weeks along. Starting to feel that lower belly pop out more and more. I posted pictures of my belly before, but a lot of that is just my organs and stuff moving up to make room for you. Now, it the fun part, you actually growing inside my belly and sticking out for the world to see.
I don't go back to the doctor for about another 6 weeks. I think by then, we might get to find out what you are. I cannot wait for that!
Love you sweet baby!!

First Ultrasound Picture
We went in today to see the little Nugget on the screen and hear the heartbeat. One word to describe it... AMAZING!! Everything looks good according to the Doc. By the way, I LOVE MY DOCTOR! Her name is Dr. Glassberg. She is young, very beautiful and very happy! She is very nice and efficient. I don't think I could have asked for a better Doctor.
The little nugget was dancing up a storm! You can see from this pic, it didn't want to stay still. Very busy in there. 160bpm. Mama gained 9lbs. Ack!

First Belly Pics
| Well if this is not advertising, I don't know what is! |
Ok, just got my first maternity clothes and decided to take a belly pic. Although my stomach is huge, it was pretty big pre-baby but the baby is pushing everything up and out.
Here it is! I know, I look 6 months preggo, not 3. Lol. All I have to say is there better not be 2 babies in there!!

9 Weeks Baby -- Hello there little fetus!!
You are Mama's inch long Olive! I love it. I will post what they say is official for 9 weeks:
While it's way too early to feel anything, it's not too early to hear something (possibly). Your baby's heart is developed enough — and grown large enough — so that its beats can be heard with a Doppler, a handheld ultrasound device that amplifies the lub-dub sound the heart makes. But don't worry if your practitioner can't pick up the sound of your baby's heartbeat yet. It just means your shy guy or gal is hiding in the corner of your uterus, or has his or her back facing out, making it hard for the Doppler to find its target. In a few weeks (or at your next visit) the miraculous sound of your baby's heartbeat is certain to be audible for your listening pleasure.
.
Now, I will tell you about my changes. The morning sickness comes and goes. I think I am done for it for good one day, then it pops up. I know it is all worth it, I just have been in tears a few times lately because I am so tired of feeling bad. It is rough when you feel good one day and the next it is back. But, I do know it is getting better! I think.
I have been eating way too much. I need to watch what I eat more. Again, it is 11:00 and I have eaten most of my lunch. I am the opposite of most people that when I feel sick, if I eat, I feel better. And boy of boy, did Mommy feel sick this morning. We were really busy at work today and there was no rest in between calls. So, I ate my lunch as quickly as possible just to keep the nausea away.
My belly is getting bigger too. I can feel it sticking out more. Dr. Appt next week. I hope I get to hear the heartbeat and maybe even see the little nugget. Really excited about that.
Week 9 of Pregnancy: The Fetal Heartbeat Strengthens
Good-bye embryo, hello fetus. Your baby is now about one inch long, the size of a medium green olive (hold the martinis, please), with a heart that's developed enough — and large enough — to be heard with a Doppler.
Sunrise, sunset: Would you believe your baby is having his or her first graduation already? Yes, it's true: At 9 weeks pregnant, your scholar-to-be has ended his or her embryonic stage and is entering the fetal period now (good-bye embryo, hello fetus). Your fetus is now about one inch long, the size of a medium green olive (but no martinis, please). The head has straightened out and is more fully developed, the ears are much more prominent, and some new organs (the liver, spleen, and gallbladder) are forming. Your fetus is also making spontaneous movements of his or her arms and legs now that minuscule muscles are beginning to develop, though you won't feel your tiny dancer for at least another two months. While it's way too early to feel anything, it's not too early to hear something (possibly). Your baby's heart is developed enough — and grown large enough — so that its beats can be heard with a Doppler, a handheld ultrasound device that amplifies the lub-dub sound the heart makes. Cravings
I thought I would track some of the things I am craving off and on along with some of the things I can't eat now.
Cravings:
Things I don't Like All of a Sudden:
Cravings:
- Potatoes (all forms but especially tatertots)
- Grilled Cheeses / tomato soup
- Chicken Noodle Soup (Mama would kill for the Yogurt Garden soup right now)
- Pasta Salad
- Hot dogs
Things I don't Like All of a Sudden:
- Coffee (blech, the thought of it makes me want to hurl)
- Diet Coke (it is hard to get a soda down these days)
- Pizza (after last night and this morning, I doubt I will want pizza again)
- Most sweet things including fruit. (I am still forcing myself to eat fruit cause baby needs it, but it is not appealing at all!)

Family Tree
This is your immediate family tree. Just Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. We will get more detailed later on. It was too large to fit as one big display so I broke it into 3 parts.
Names!
This is my list so far. Daddy is not agreeing on barely any of them, but I will not tell you which ones in case Mama gets her way and gets to name you want she wants. :-) Lyn is your auntie Angie's middle name and of course, Gail is your Nana Jones's name. Robert is your Papa Jones's name and Dale is after the legendary Dale Earnhardt #3. It will be funny what we end up with since Mama and Daddy can't seem to agree on any of these.

222 Days 2 Go!
I just looked at my Pregnancy ticker, I only have 222 days to go! That is quite a bit but I am sure it will go pretty quick. My tatas are killing me!! I am one of those people that is not thrilled to have even bigger boobies. Good lord, how much more can they grow?
Baby nugget is craving weird things. I had to stop @ the gas station this morning to get pretzels because all of a sudden that is what I had to have. Sat in my car before work chowing down on my Rold Gold's. I am still working and will be stuck on the phone when all of a sudden, 1 swallow, 2 swallow, 3 swallow, ok...good, I can talk again. That is my waves of nausea coming and going. Funny how it always happens when I am on the phone.
Other than that, not that many new changes. Not as tired as I thought I would be. Woke up feeling pretty good today. Then the nausea kicked it. Few more weeks and that should be gone. YAY!

Auntie Angie and Baby's First Gift
Auntie Angie was down here visiting Mama and insisted on starting to spoil her niece/nephew early. We do not have much choice but to raise you as a Longhorn. You are going to be born in Longhorn country after all. So, this is your first baby gift from Auntie Angie.
And here is a picture of your Auntie Angie.
This was all taken last weekend. Mama was about 7 weeks along and is currently on her 8th week. Other than being tired and a little nauseous, Mama is doing good. Cannot wait until you are a little bigger though. Especially when we get to find out what you are. We don't really care either way, as long as you are happy and healthy. Thank you Auntie Angie!!

Surprise! That's a Positive!
Mama found out the night before her 33rd B-day that you have been created! I was so happy and nervous at the same time. Daddy couldn't stop smiling for a good hour. We are so happy to have you come into our life. Right now, we are just busy guessing what you are going to be like. Boy, girl? Are you going to look like Mama, or Daddy? We have told all our family now and everyone seems happy for us. Can't wait to meet you my little Chicken nugget.
