200 more days!

Wow, that seems like forever to go. Only 200 more days until I get to see your sweet face. Well give or take a few. I am about 11 1/2 weeks along. Starting to feel that lower belly pop out more and more. I posted pictures of my belly before, but a lot of that is just my organs and stuff moving up to make room for you. Now, it the fun part, you actually growing inside my belly and sticking out for the world to see.

I don't go back to the doctor for about another 6 weeks. I think by then, we might get to find out what you are. I cannot wait for that!

Love you sweet baby!!

First Ultrasound Picture

We went in today to see the little Nugget on the screen and hear the heartbeat. One word to describe it... AMAZING!! Everything looks good according to the Doc. By the way, I LOVE MY DOCTOR! Her name is Dr. Glassberg. She is young, very beautiful and very happy! She is very nice and efficient. I don't think I could have asked for a better Doctor.

The little nugget was dancing up a storm! You can see from this pic, it didn't want to stay still. Very busy in there. 160bpm. Mama gained 9lbs. Ack!

10 weeks, 4 days!

First Belly Pics

Well if this is not advertising, I don't know what is!

Ok, just got my first maternity clothes and decided to take a belly pic. Although my stomach is huge, it was pretty big pre-baby but the baby is pushing everything up and out.

Here it is! I know, I look 6 months preggo, not 3. Lol. All I have to say is there better not be 2 babies in there!!
10 weeks exactly

1 day and 1 Whataburger lunch later

Signature

This is neat. I think it will be my new signature for message boards and stuff. I don't know if it updates itself everyday. I would think it would.

9 Weeks Baby -- Hello there little fetus!!

You are Mama's inch long Olive! I love it. I will post what they say is official for 9 weeks:

Week 9 of Pregnancy: The Fetal Heartbeat Strengthens

Good-bye embryo, hello fetus. Your baby is now about one inch long, the size of a medium green olive (hold the martinis, please), with a heart that's developed enough — and large enough — to be heard with a Doppler.
Sunrise, sunset: Would you believe your baby is having his or her first graduation already? Yes, it's true: At 9 weeks pregnant, your scholar-to-be has ended his or her embryonic stage and is entering the fetal period now (good-bye embryo, hello fetus). Your fetus is now about one inch long, the size of a medium green olive (but no martinis, please). The head has straightened out and is more fully developed, the ears are much more prominent, and some new organs (the liver, spleen, and gallbladder) are forming. Your fetus is also making spontaneous movements of his or her arms and legs now that minuscule muscles are beginning to develop, though you won't feel your tiny dancer for at least another two months.
While it's way too early to feel anything, it's not too early to hear something (possibly). Your baby's heart is developed enough — and grown large enough — so that its beats can be heard with a Doppler, a handheld ultrasound device that amplifies the lub-dub sound the heart makes. But don't worry if your practitioner can't pick up the sound of your baby's heartbeat yet. It just means your shy guy or gal is hiding in the corner of your uterus, or has his or her back facing out, making it hard for the Doppler to find its target. In a few weeks (or at your next visit) the miraculous sound of your baby's heartbeat is certain to be audible for your listening pleasure.
.
Now, I will tell you about my changes. The morning sickness comes and goes. I think I am done for it for good one day, then it pops up. I know it is all worth it, I just have been in tears a few times lately because I am so tired of feeling bad. It is rough when you feel good one day and the next it is back. But, I do know it is getting better! I think.

I have been eating way too much. I need to watch what I eat more. Again, it is 11:00 and I have eaten most of my lunch. I am the opposite of most people that when I feel sick, if  I eat, I feel better. And boy of boy, did Mommy feel sick this morning. We were really busy at work today and there was no rest in between calls. So, I ate my lunch as quickly as possible just to keep the nausea away.

My belly is getting bigger too. I can feel it sticking out more. Dr. Appt next week. I hope I get to hear the heartbeat and maybe even see the little nugget. Really excited about that.

Cravings

I thought I would track some of the things I am craving off and on along with some of the things I can't eat now.

Cravings:
  • Potatoes (all forms but especially tatertots)
  • Grilled Cheeses / tomato soup
  • Chicken Noodle Soup (Mama would kill for the Yogurt Garden soup right now)
  • Pasta Salad
  • Hot dogs
It is funny, I will get this overwhelming urge to have what I am craving right then and there, and if I don't get it, I will just start feeling nauseous and eventually the craving goes away.

Things I don't Like All of a Sudden:
  • Coffee (blech, the thought of it makes me want to hurl)
  • Diet Coke (it is hard to get a soda down these days)
  • Pizza (after last night and this morning, I doubt I will want pizza again)
  • Most sweet things including fruit. (I am still forcing myself to eat fruit cause baby needs it, but it is not appealing at all!)
I am sure I will add to this. I know I have gained weight. I refuse to get on the scale but need to keep it in check. Will try to stop giving in to the feeling "you must fill your tummy now so you are not nauseous". Or at least, fill it with just a bite of something. Something I have not been doing. I have been eating until I am stuffed. That is a good way to put on 80lbs. Ack!

Family Tree

This is your immediate family tree. Just Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. We will get more detailed later on. It was too large to fit as one big display so I broke it into 3 parts.

222 Days 2 Go!

I just looked at my Pregnancy ticker, I only have 222 days to go! That is quite a bit but I am sure it will go pretty quick. My tatas are killing me!! I am one of those people that is not thrilled to have even bigger boobies. Good lord, how much more can they grow?

Baby nugget is craving weird things. I had to stop @ the gas station this morning to get pretzels because all of a sudden that is what I had to have. Sat in my car before work chowing down on my Rold Gold's. I am still working and will be stuck on the phone when all of a sudden, 1 swallow, 2 swallow, 3 swallow, ok...good, I can talk again. That is my waves of nausea coming and going. Funny how it always happens when I am on the phone.

Other than that, not that many new changes. Not as tired as I thought I would be. Woke up feeling pretty good today. Then the nausea kicked it. Few more weeks and that should be gone. YAY!

Auntie Angie and Baby's First Gift

Auntie Angie was down here visiting Mama and insisted on starting to spoil her niece/nephew early. We do not have much choice but to raise you as a Longhorn. You are going to be born in Longhorn country after all. So, this is your first baby gift from Auntie Angie.

And here is a picture of your Auntie Angie.

This was all taken last weekend. Mama was about 7 weeks along and is currently on her 8th week. Other than being tired and a little nauseous, Mama is doing good. Cannot wait until you are a little bigger though. Especially when we get to find out what you are. We don't really care either way, as long as you are happy and healthy. Thank you Auntie Angie!!

Surprise! That's a Positive!

Mama found out the night before her 33rd B-day that you have been created! I was so happy and nervous at the same time. Daddy couldn't stop smiling for a good hour. We are so happy to have you come into our life. Right now, we are just busy guessing what you are going to be like. Boy, girl? Are you going to look like Mama, or Daddy? We have told all our family now and everyone seems happy for us. Can't wait to meet you my little Chicken nugget.
